The fall out from Bill Belichick's decision to go for it on 4th and 2 on the Pats 28 yard line is AMAZING! Yes, I know, it doesn't make much sense. Everything in our football background tells us when you are that deep in your own territory you punt. His thinking, according to the sound bytes, was that they could make it and then they could run out the clock and win.
In hindsight, it was the wrong decision. But I ask ya....what if it worked? Would we have still thought he was a football genius?
